Registering with a doctor (a GP, or general practitioner) is very important to ensure you can access the right health care when you need it. GPs are based in surgeries (also called practices), and they will be your first point of contact for most physical and mental health concerns.

To register, search for a GP surgery based on your postcode. Use the Find a GP page below to see the nearby GP practices. www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-gp

From here, you can check the GP Surgery website to see if you can register online or call or email the GP Surgery.

You may need to present your passport, BRP and proof of address to register to a practice. Your welcome pack should include a letter from the Trust that you may use a supporting document.
