The Chesterfield Royal Hospital Trust Charity has achieved some incredible milestones, thanks to the support of the community. Here are a few heartwarming success stories:

  1. The Royal Rider: This initiative has been a game-changer for patients and visitors with mobility issues. The Royal Rider, supported by the charity, has transported over 40,000 patients, making hospital visits much more accessible (relevant links).
  2. The Health and Wellbeing Hub: The charity has raised an impressive £2 million towards the construction of a new Health and Wellbeing Hub – recently awarded ‘high commended’ by the national HSJ Awards for Staff Wellbeing. This facility aims to provide a supportive environment for patients, staff, and the community, focusing on holistic health and wellness (relevant links – Lois, I’m very keen that we increase our ‘story’ and H&WB section of both intranet and website – we have an opportunity and need to make this stronger).

These stories highlight the tangible impact of the charity's work, improving the lives of patients and their families in meaningful ways. If you'd like to learn more or get involved, feel free to explore our website or reach out to us directly.
