Job Posts - Social Media.pngOur End of Life Companion Volunteers are highly specialised individuals who provide companionship and support for patients and their families.

We are looking to recruit more volunteers into this role with the following skills:

  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Good self-awareness and ability to reflect on actions and experience.
  • Respect for others at all times.
  • A non-judgemental approach, with sensitivity to the needs of people from all backgrounds.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Have a commitment to their own self-care and a willingness to engage in support and supervision.

All volunteers will receive full training and support from the team.

We are holding an information morning on Monday, 17 March from 10am until 12noon. In this session you will find out a lot more about the role and what it involves.

If this is something you feel you would like to be a part of, we will then be holding our training day the following week on Monday, 24 March. This is a specialised full-day training session and must be completed before starting to volunteer in this role.

Please ensure that you book a place to attend this in advance.

If you are interested in this role, please contact Emma Costello on emma.costello@nhs.net or call 01246 516557.
