Today, the Trust will be holding its Remembrance Service in our Memorial Garden at the Rear of the hospital.
The service will begin at 10.55am and be led by Rev’d Martyn Jinks, Head of Pastoral Care.
Alongside Mahmud Nawaz, Chair of the Trust, Dr Younis Shandookh, ED Consultant, and a member of our Veteran community who will lay wreaths on behalf of colleagues, we are honoured that Dr Helen Phillips, Deputy Lieutenant for Derbyshire, will be in attendance as will the Mayor and Mayoress of Chesterfield.
Any patient or visitor on-site on Friday is more than welcome to attend if able to do so – please be in attendance at 10.50am. Wards and clinics are also being supported to hold a two-minute silence so patients can pay their respects.
The Trust will also be represented at the Chesterfield Service of Remembrance on Sunday, 12 November, at the Crooked Spire Church.
Caroline Wade, MBE, Director of HR and OD, and Kimberley Sellers, a member of our Veteran network will lay wreaths at the Cenotaph opposite the Town Hall alongside dignitaries including His Grace The Duke of Devonshire and Her Worship The Mayor of Chesterfield.
