We are delighted to announce the results of our Governor Elections.
The voting for our Governor Elections for 12 Staff and Public Governors at the Trust were held in November and saw enthusiastic participation from colleagues, patients, and Trust Members.
Governors play a vital role in representing the interests of the community, ensuring that everybody’s voices are heard in the Trust's decision-making processes.
Newly Elected Public Governors:

Mahmud Nawaz, Chair of the Trust, expressed his gratitude and excitement for the new Governors joining the team: "We are delighted to welcome our newly elected Governors. Their diverse backgrounds and commitment to our community will be invaluable as we continue to strive for excellence in patient care and Trust governance across our hospital, community services and Royal Primary Care. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the candidates who participated and to everyone who voted. Your involvement is crucial to our success and the continuous improvement of our services."

The newly elected Governors will play a crucial role in representing the interests of patients, colleagues, and the wider community. They will help guide the Trust's strategic direction and decision-making processes, ensuring that the voices of all stakeholders are heard.
The new Governors will undergo an induction process to familiarise themselves with their roles and responsibilities and will begin their term in the new year.
We also recognise Governors who are leaving the Council of Governors on 31 December and thank them for their contributions and support over their terms.
