Our Children’s Ward - Nightingale Ward - is returning home to its original location… Thank you for your patience.

Today (Thursday, 7 November) our paediatric ward ‘Nightingale Ward’ is returning to its usual ‘home’ following a month long decant move to Basil Ward.

We hope to minimise any disruption this may cause and there will be no cancellations or planned changes to patient care or procedures during this time.

Colleagues are working hard to ensure patients and families are supported and please do be assured; we are prioritising safety and continuing care. There will be no change to telephone numbers for patients and/or colleagues.

The temporary signage and wayfinding will be removed.

The return comes approximately four weeks after the move which has allowed works to be completed across the ward including improvements to the wards facilities and décor such as breastfeeding room and dedicated spaces to support families and colleagues – all contributing to the Trust’s vision to provide exceptional patient care.
