Through singing at various events and raffles, through to silent auctions and carol singing, the choir has raised an incredible £3,300 which will go towards refurbishing the parents’ room so that parents can stay with their baby in comfort during their care.
Steve Heppinstall, Director of Finance at Chesterfield Royal Hospital said: “Thank you to the Honeybelles for their valued support for the charity and for our littlest patients in particular. Your dedication and commitment to our neonatal babies and their families will make such a difference to them. We are incredibly grateful for your support. Thank you.”
Kate Challinor-Moss, Musical Director, from Honeybelles Choir said: “We were delighted to raise funds for the Neo Natal Unit at Chesterfield Royal Hospital as part of our annual calendar of events. We all know families who have been looked after at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, in fact eight of our members have had a baby looked after in NICU or Special Care and speak highly of the care they received. It has been our pleasure to hear some of the stories and to be able to contribute in this way. We’d also like to thank colleagues from DHU who have matched funded, generously £1,000 to support us.”
