Visit our information event at Chesterfield Royal Hospital’s main entrance on Wednesday, 17 July between 11am and 4pm.
Did you know that in North-East Derbyshire we have two Community Diagnostic Centres? These are located at Walton Hospital (Walton, Chesterfield) and Whitworth Hospital (Darley Dale, Matlock). They offer services such as blood tests, ultrasounds, CT and MRI scans and point-of-care testing and are often closer to patients’ homes: reducing the need for travel and providing improved access by having a host of diagnostic facilities and services in one place.
Our information event will showcase the services available at our CDCs, both now and in the future and will allow colleagues and patients to ask questions, find out more about the centres and learn about the positive impact they have on our hospital and community.
Coming soon
We will also be sharing the exciting plans for our CDC at Walton Hospital; a purpose-built facility expected to open in spring 2025. The building works for the site are expected to begin soon and we look forward to sharing more insight with you at our event including pathways and architecture drawings of the development.
There’s no need to book - just turn up!
