Inflammatory skin conditions

The most common of which are psoriasis, acne, and eczema. However, we see many other common imflammatory skin conditions and offer a full and comprehensive service. We offer expertise in diagnosis and treatment including skin biopsy and investigations where necessary.

We provide a patch testing service for investigating contact dermatitis, phototherapy specialist light treatments and topical and systemic treatments for inflammatory skin conditions.

Karen Greenfield is the specialist nurse for patients with inflammatory skin conditions and is an independent nurse prescriber with 14 years of dermatology experience.

Karen runs independent clinics for initiation and monitoring of treatments and review/assessment of skin conditions. She provides support for patients and their families to manage the burden of acute and chronic skin conditions.

Additionally, Judith Whelan - a Nurse Practitioner - runs a specialist Roaccutane clinic for patients with acne. Our specialist nurses and sister have independent minor operations clinics providing skin surgery for diagnostic biopsies and removal of skin lesions and have extensive experience in this area.
