Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)

AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).  It is any form of Communication which helps (augmentative) or replaces (alternative) speech.

AAC includes simple systems such as pictures, gestures and signing, as well as more complex techniques involving powerful computer technology.
