Warning alert

Please look after your hearing aid. It is a valuable piece of equipment and is on loan to you from the NHS. It is yours for as long as you need it, but it remains the property of the NHS

The charge for a lost hearing aid is £85 per aid.

The charge takes into account the replacement of all accessories and hearing aids as well as the Audiologist's time and materials.

It is important to report your lost or damaged hearing aid before attending an appointment in Audiology. You have the right to appeal against the charge. An appeal must be made in writing to the Head of Audiology and you will be informed of their decision. If the decision is made that charges still apply, you will receive an invoice from the Trust's invoicing department.
